INILAB has developed and deployed two prototype radar sensors. One for counting bypassing people and another for counting vehicles in intersections, both with high accuracy.

They are based on state of the art mmWave sensors from Texas Instruments, which can be applied to a large number of sensing applications. mmWave technology has several advantages: no privacy issues, not dependent on light and weather conditions and they are relatively cost efficient.
